Get on the field!
Funded by the Jays Care Foundation, our baseball program replaces multisport in the spring.
Learn fundamental baseball skills, like throwing, catching, running, and hitting.
The program focuses on group-based activities to facilitate increased social interaction. Sessions are delivered indoors or outdoors, depending on the location.
Participants must have a registered account and be of the correct age when the program starts.

Support Provided
In each session, participants are supported in a group-setting by:
- Onsite Supervisor: Ensures the success of the program as a whole
- Coach: Delivers curriculum and provides group instruction
- Support Workers: Adapt instruction to participants in group settings
- Program Assistants & Volunteers: Additional program support
Staff and volunteers will guide participants through group activities with the goal of facilitating increased social interaction.
This team-based learning model and reduced staffing ratio align with Challenger Baseball, a community program also supported by Jays Care.
By mirroring this format, CAN baseball offers a ‘bridging’ opportunity to practice skills before transitioning to programs outside of CAN.
We strive to meet the needs of each participant through parent/caregiver and/or participant collaboration.
For our early years and children’s programs (ie. 3-6 & 7-12yrs), parents and caregivers themselves can provide basic information about their child’s support needs and abilities when registering for programs through their CAN account.
For our youth and adult programs (ages 13-17), participants are also encouraged to communicate their support needs in the same way.
During the season, don’t hesitate to speak with coaches and on-site staff about support strategies that work for your child (e.g., visual schedules, first-then boards, token systems, social stories, etc).
