Our experienced training team works with groups from across community sectors.
We can help you create, promote, and host an accessible event!
Put your training to practice:
- Host a Try-It Day for CAN participants to check out your activity.
- Add a Relaxed Performance to your show’s schedule.
- Schedule an Open House or Accessibility Tour at your facility.
CAN staff will be able to provide direct guidance as you launch your new event, program, or initiative.
We can help you design and host a sensory friendly space.
Busy facilities and events can often create challenges for Autistic individuals and those with sensory sensitivities. A typical sensory-friendly space includes:
- A quiet area to take a break and re-charge
- Fidget toys and quiet activities
- Noise-cancelling headphones and/or sunglasses to use outside of the space
“My brain doesn’t block out background noise like other people’s brains. Sensory friendly spaces provide a place to relax and take a few minutes.”

A wide range of resources could be helpful when looking to improve the accessibility of your space.
Resources aim to decrease the anxiety associated with a new experience or environment:
- Frontloading videos & visual walkthroughs: Showcase what to expect at your facility.
- Checklists, maps and other visual supports: Increase predictability and decrease anxiety.
- Noise-cancelling headphones and sunglasses: Help reduce sensory sensitivities.
Ensure that your facility remains accessible long after CAN training!
