Declan’s CAN Fundraiser

1 in 30 children & youth in BC are on the autism spectrum. Now more than ever, most people know someone on the autism spectrum.

Our family has been a member of CAN for over a decade. At 5 years old, Declan first learned to ride a bike with CAN bike camp. Now at 15 years old Declan’s passions are playing golf, hockey, and competitive swimming.

CAN has created an accepting, safe, and supportive environment for Declan to thrive. He has participated in CAN soccer, swim, day camp, paddle boarding, golf, and even teen social activities like Improv.

Declan plays hockey with the CAN Coquitlam Sharks — being part of a team sport gives him a sense of belonging. Playing hockey has made him love and really appreciate the hard work of his favorite team, the Vancouver Canucks.

In addition to children’s sports & rec, funds raised will benefit a range of youth & adult opportunities, including employment & mental health, as well as autism training for community sports organizations and groups like first responders, educators, businesses, and more.

CAN supports thousands of families like ours throughout BC. Please join us in making a difference. Help us reach our fundraising goal! Go Canucks go!!!
