Support Provided

Support provided varies by location and type of day camp.

Our partnered day camps are led by staff from local organizations with support from CAN staff and volunteers.

For all of our day camps, we seek to provide group support to our participants to facilitate social interaction.

For many of our day camps, the program are led by staff from partnered organizations, like PacificSport, First Tee Golf, UVic and more.

Programs delivered entirely by CAN, such as Baseball, are led by:

  • CAN Onsite Supervisor: Ensures the success of the program as a whole
  • CAN Coach: Delivers curriculum and provides group instruction

All day camps will be additional supported by:

  • CAN Support Workers: Individualize and adapt instruction to each participant
  • CAN Program Assistants & Volunteers: Additional program support

We strive to meet the needs of each participant through parent/caregiver collaboration.

Parents and caregivers can provide basic information about their child’s support needs and abilities through their CAN account.

During the season, don’t hesitate to speak with coaches and on-site staff about support strategies that work for your child (e.g., visual schedules, first-then boards, token systems, social stories, etc).
