Movie Club is a structured space for Autistic youth & adults to connect.
Participants tune in simultaneously through the Teleparty app. Focus on the movie, chime in on the chat, or both!
A different movie is chosen each session with input from CAN participants. After the screening, join the Zoom session for a 30-minute discussion.
CAN youth & adult programs are for anyone who self-identifies as Autistic. A formal diagnosis is not required.
Participants must have their own Netflix account with Teleparty installed.
What to expect:
- Submit your movie preferences through link provided when you sign up.
Final movie selection each week will be made by CAN. - Receive a reminder the day of the session.
Movie selection will be shared! - Receive a Teleparty link when the session begins.
A CAN staff will email it at the start of the session.
- Watch the movie on Teleparty!
Movie will be screened in sync with all attendees. Chat with the group simultaneously in the side panel! - Group moves to Zoom for movie discussion.

Our staff are on hand to facilitate each Teleparty and zoom session.
We are here to ensure that all participants are welcomed, accepted, and supported.
Most importantly, we want to ensure that each Autistic youth or adult is comfortable participating at their pace.

For younger participants (or those with higher needs), parents and caregivers can provide basic information about the participant’s support needs through the sign up questionnaire.
For older or more independent participants, you can communicate any support needs or preferences through the same questionnaire at sign up.
