Programs and workshops have been developed and led by a mix of CAN staff, Autistic advisors & peer facilitators, community partners, and clinicians.

Opportunities include both in-person and virtual programs. Some past offerings include Music to Move Your Mood, Arts & Crafts, and Yoga.

This program is for anyone age 13+ who self-identifies as Autistic. A formal diagnosis is not required.

Participants must have a registered account and be of the correct age when the program starts.

What To Expect

Wellness & Mental Health Pop-Up Opportunities may follow a program format or a workshop format.

Some Wellness & Mental Health Pop-Up Opportunities will be delivered in a workshop format, where the focus is on learning from an expert.

Examples of past workshops include:

  • Understanding My Mental Health
  • Healthy Sleeping
  • Setting Healthy Boundaries

Workshops are often delivered online and include interactive activities and discussions to increase understanding.

Tell us how we can best include you.

Wellness & Mental Health program staff vary by session. They can include:

  • Autistic facilitators: Peers with lived experience who help guide each session.
  • Experienced clinicians: Mental health experts that lead the content of each session.
  • Additional staff: To provide support wherever needed.

Most importantly, we want to ensure that each Autistic youth or adult is comfortable participating at their pace.

Let us know how we can best support you!

For younger participants (or those with higher needs), parents and caregivers can provide basic information about the participant’s support needs and abilities through their CAN account.

For older or more independent participants, you can communicate any support needs or preferences through your CAN account.

Don’t hesitate to speak directly with staff about support needs and preferences at the program.
