A brand new program at CAN! Club participants will select a book to read together by group vote.
Led by an Autistic facilitator, the program will explore themes through group discussion and open conversation on Zoom.
Discover your next favourite read, while connecting with peers!
This program is for anyone age 16+ who self-identifies as Autistic. A formal diagnosis is not required.
Participants must have a registered account and be of the correct age when the program starts.
What To Expect
Book Club is led by an Autistic Peer Facilitator.
They are responsible for leading group discussion and ensuring that all participants are welcomed, accepted, and supported.
Due to the online nature of our virtual programs, parents/guardians or personal support workers/companions are welcome to provide additional guidance from home.

We recognize that every participant is unique and support needs can vary greatly.
Participants or parents/guardians are asked to provide information about support needs, preferences, and abilities through a questionnaire during program registration.*
Our staff review all participants’ questionnaire submissions to ensure that they understand each individual’s unique needs.
And don’t hesitate to speak directly with staff about support needs and preferences during the program.
*Be sure to include if you anticipate receiving any personal, in-person support from a parent, guardian, support worker, or companion at home when you are participating in our virtual programs.
AJ (they/them) is one of the Autistic facilitators who leads the program.
They love reading and all the worlds you can enter through it.
They love bringing people together and seeing people build their connections with others in their community.
When they are not reading you can usually find them crocheting or painting!
