Are you interested in learning more about your own mental health? Have you struggled with mental health challenges?
Learn about the intersection of autism and mental health. Explore topics, like Autistic identity, masking & camouflaging, and friendships & relationships.
The program is led by two Autistic peer facilitators via Zoom.
CAN youth and adult programs are for anyone who self-identifies as Autistic. A formal diagnosis is not required.
This program was developed in partnership with the Rae Morris Counselling Group.

This program is led by two Autistic peer facilitators.
Together, they lead group discussions and ensure that each Autistic youth is comfortable participating at their pace.
Our peer facilitators are supported in their leadership through consultation and mentorship with the Rae Morris Counselling Group.
Keep us in the loop!
For younger participants (or those with higher needs), parents and guardians can provide basic information about the participant’s support needs and abilities through their CAN account.
For older or more independent participants, you can communicate any support needs or preferences through your CAN account.
Before or after sessions, don’t hesitate to contact staff directly about support needs and preferences.
Who leads the group?
Discussions are led by two Autistic facilitators.Liz-Anne (she/her) is a dedicated advocate for the Autistic community, leveraging her skills, passions, and Autistic experience.
She serves in various roles at CAN, including Job Coach and Bird Walk program leader. She has experience facilitating groups in Autistic advocacy and Autistic queer communities, and loves to create inclusive environments that foster connection, growth, and a sense of belonging.
Liz-Anne is also a lawyer and is passionate about advancing the legal needs of the Autistic and neurodivergent communities, utilizing her legal knowledge to create meaningful change and personal experience to ensure Autistic-friendly support.
Kandice (she/her) is passionate about supporting Autistic youth through connection, creativity, and supporting each person in a way that builds on who they already are.
As an Autistic individual with ADHD, she brings both lived experience and professional insight into her work, creating spaces that feel safe, understanding, and empowering.
With a background in early childhood education, Kandice loves incorporating creativity into her work and values building genuine relationships rooted in empathy, emotional awareness, and a sense of safety, where youth feel seen, supported, and free to be themselves.
