Many families affected by ASD confront barriers when trying to participate in activities in the community.  The CAN Family Adventure Series has been designed to help minimize these barriers and offer access to activities that are fun for the whole family.  CAN offers various Family Adventures throughout the year, including the Ghost Train at Stanley Park, the VanDusen Botanical Garden’s Festival of Lights, and the Rogers Arena Family Skate.  Please see below for details on all of our upcoming Family Adventures.

The Family Adventure Series is designed for the entire family. A family member with an ASD diagnosis must participate in the program. Please note that due to the family nature of this event, no 1:1 support with be available. There will be several amazing volunteers at each event ready to create an positive experience!

How to register:

Families must be registered as CAN Family Members before being able to sign up for Family Adventures online.

Please note: We expect all families to notify us in the event of a cancellation. By informing us that you are unable to attend we can invite another family to enjoy the event in your place.

PROGRAM CRITERIA:

-Only immediate family is invited to participate in this program due to limited space

- All family members wishing to participate must have submitted a CAN Family Membership Application and paid the $25 annual fee (covers entire family)

Family Adventures Mini Golf!

WHEN: Saturday, June 23, 2012

WHERE: Eaglequest Golf Center (1001 United Blvd. Coquitlam, BC V3K 4S8)

DETAILS: There will be three time slots available. Each time slot will accommodate up to 30 people. You will be assigned a tee-off time between 2pm and 4pm in your confirmation email. You will also be required to sign-in half an hour before your given tee-off time.

FOOD: Burgers, salads and drinks will be provided free of charge.

Registration for this event will open on Tuesday, JUNE 4th at noon!
