Age restriction: 18+
We are looking for several individuals to help support our Family Adventure Golf Tournament on June 23, 2012. This will be fun afternoon, volunteers be hosting various golf holes and interacting with families as they play the 18 hole mini golf at the Eagle Quest Golf Course in Coquitlam. Volunteers will need to sign in at 1:30pm and will be working until approximately 5:30 pm.
Age restriction: 16+
The I CAN Play Soccer program has been specifically designed to promote the physical and social development of children with autism by providing an environment and pace of instruction that is modified to meet their needs. Siblings are also welcome to participate and share in the positive experience. Volunteers are needed for set-up/take-down and are also needed as support to the participants.
Programs and Areas where Volunteers are Needed: Burnaby, Surrey YMCA, Victoria and West Vancouver.

I CAN Play Soccer Camps
The program will be offered during two different weeks in the summer.
Vancouver – Session one July 16th- 20th
Coquitlam – Session two August 13-17th
Each session has two time slots available to participants, volunteers can choose to support the morning portion (9:00am – 12:00pm) or the afternoon portion (1:00-4:00pm) or can commit to supporting the full day. We ask that volunteers are able to commit to the full week of the program, and are available Monday thru Friday.
Age restriction: 20+
The I CAN Swim program has been specifically designed for children on the autism spectrum and focuses on basic swimming skills and water safety. Volunteers are expected to work closely with the instructor and participants to ensure that the needs of each child are met. Volunteers MUST be comfortable working in the water.

Spring Swim Locations and Details
Age restriction: 16+
The I CAN Skate program is an adapted skating program for children with autism and focuses on teaching basic skating skills. The pace of the class is adjusted for the various skill levels of the participants involved. The goal of the program is to increase the participants’ ability to skate, enabling them to engage in skating opportunities in their community. Having strong volunteer support allows the participants to have a positive, supported skating experience.

Age restriction: 16+
This week long day camp for teens consists of fun activities and exciting day trips to some of Vancouver’s top tourist destinations such as the Aquarium, the UBC Botanical Gardens and the Golden Ears Park. As a volunteer, you be asked to assist the teens during the various activities while modelling positive social behaviours. This week long program provides a great opportunity for volunteers to build relationships with the participants while partaking in a fun-filled week! Make sure to mark down the dates listed below as you won’t want to miss out!
July 23rd -July 27th (Summer in the City)and August 20th-24th (Summer in the City) We ask that volunteers are able to commit to the full week of the program, and are available Monday thru Friday from 8:30 to 4:30 pm.
Age restriction: 16+
The I CAN Bike program has been specifically designed to promote the physical and social development of children with autism by providing an environment and pace of instruction that is modified to meet their needs.The specific bike skills the program focuses on are safety skills, pedaling, steering, turning, stopping, gliding and balancing. The focus of these activities is on developing listening skills, cooperative play, confidence, building friendships, handling noise, following directions and taking turns. Volunteers will be supporting the participants as they learn the basics of biking. The program will be offered during two different weeks in the summer.

South Surrey – Session two August 20-24th.
