Want to volunteer?

Volunteers who generously contribute their time and energy are the backbone of the organization. Whether you are available two hours a week or two hours a month, the Canucks Autism Network would greatly appreciate your support! Gain experience working with children with autism and help to enrich the lives children and their families. Volunteer opportunities include helping with sports and recreational, vocational, or educational programs, or assisting with various administrative tasks at the office, located at 203 West 6th Avenue, in Vancouver.

Help CAN Make a Difference!

  • Complete the CAN Volunteer Application Form
  • Once the form is submitted, applicants will receive a confirmation email with the code to log into the “Volunteer Administration” page.  This page contains the documents needed to complete a Criminal Record Check, as well as other forms that must be submitted in order to volunteer.
  • Attend a CAN orientation session
  • Submit a Canucks Autism Network specific Criminal Record Check (or Student Referral Form, if under the age of 18) and other required documents.

After completing these steps and having your application reviewed by CAN Staff you will be notified once you have been approved to volunteer.  Once becoming active you are eligible to register for programs, events and activities.

Volunteer Requirements

  • Criminal Record Check (Check must be completed specifically for the Canucks Autism Network) or Student Referral Form
  • Be approved as a CAN volunteer
  • Have completed a CAN orientation
  • Able to commit to the entire length of the program
  • Meet the minimum age requirement, if applicable

CAN Volunteer Orientation Night

If you are a new CAN volunteer or would like to learn more about CAN programs and various volunteer opportunities, come out to the CAN Volunteer Orientation Night.  The next session will be held on Tuesday, February 7th at the CAN office (203 West 6th Avenue, Vancouver). Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Winter Volunteer Orientation Dates:

Tuesday, February 7th from 6:00pm-7:30pm

Saturday, February 18th from 10:00am-11:30am
