Noah Morantz, CFRE, Director of Development

Noah joins the Canucks Autism Network team with over a decade of development experience.  The majority of Noah’s career in philanthropy has been spent working for children and families across British Columbia.  As the Director of Development Noah is responsible for creating and overseeing the implementation of a strategic approach to fundraising.  He holds a BA from UBC and was granted the designation of a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 2008.  Noah lives in North Vancouver with his wife and two young boys.  We are thrilled to have Noah on the CAN team. noah@canucksautism.ca

 

 

Natalie Hagarty, Program Manager, Social and Vocational Programs

A professional educator, Natalie brings with her 10 years of varied experience working with individuals who have ASD.  She is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the development, implementation and coordination of all social and vocational programs offered by CAN.  She is thrilled to build upon her experience and contribute to the goals of CAN as we practice acceptance and promote abilities.  Natalie is also a Certified PEERS Provider and is determined to share this evidence-based intervention with CAN families. Isabel Angeles, Accountant

Isabel joined CAN in August 2011 and is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring financial processes including budget development and management.  Isabel brings with her over 15 years of accounting experience and is very involved in her sons’ associations by volunteering as School PAC Treasurer, Atom C1 Treasurer, Atom Division Manager and Chair of the Atom/Peewee Tournament for Richmond Minor Hockey. Isabel feels at home working alongside such dedicated and inspiring co-workers. We are thrilled to have Isabel’s expertise. isabel@canucksautism.ca

 

Marco Palmeri, Family Adventures Coordinator

Marco joins the Canucks Autism Network with an eclectic background in a variety of work settings. While he enjoyed his past experiences, he always knew that working with children would be at the core of his dream job. Having a nephew with autism has enabled Marco to personally experience the challenges that families affected by autism face. Inspired by his nephew and fuelled by his own desire to give back, Marco found himself eager to get involved with CAN. Marco’s involvement  began in a volunteer capacity and naturally evolved into a full-time position. Marco is delighted to be working alongside such dedicated co-workers and is thrilled whenever he gets the opportunity to work with the CAN participants first hand. marco@canucksautism.ca

Ryan Yao, Sports & Recreation Coordinator

Ryan joins the Canucks Autism Network with many years of experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities in recreation, social and various other settings. Ryan has recently graduated in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia, majoring in Kinesiology and Health Science. His passion for working towards a better community was evident in his work with UBC REC and the Richmond Society for Community Living while completing his degree. With his dedication and experience, we are very excited to have Ryan join the CAN team. ryan@canucksautism.ca

 

Lindsay Moore, Marketing Coordinator

Lindsay joins the Canucks Autism Network with a background in marketing and communications coupled with a strong desire to help others. While she has had some firsthand experience with children on the spectrum, Lindsay is committed to learning more about autism and is delighted whenever she gets the opportunity to personally work with the CAN families. Lindsay is thrilled to be a part of such an impassioned, dedicated team and is continually inspired by the commitment and perseverance of the participants and their families. Megan Hussey, Volunteer & Resource Manager

Megan Hussey joins the Canucks Autism Network after years of working with children and families in a variety of recreational settings.  Her background is in marketing, communications and non-profit management.  She is passionate about working with all the programs to further develop CAN’s services and expand current delivery.  She loves her position with CAN as it brings her many opportunities to visit with kids and families, and allows her to attend camp one of her most favorite activities.   She is thrilled to be working for CAN and is passionate about learning more about autism and how we can better support those with ASD in our community. Emily Stuible, Coordinator of Community Programs

Emily joins the Canucks Autism Network with six years of experience working with children affected by a range of disabilities in a variety of settings. While completing her BA in Psychology at UBC, Emily worked as a behaviour interventionist and organizational tutor for children with autism and learning disabilities. After two years of volunteering with CAN, Emily was thrilled to accept a position as the Director of Community Programs and Volunteer Services and looks forward to the opportunity to continue to support children with autism and their families through this organization.
